Welcome to The River Inn—a family-owned favorite nestled in Hanover’s Historic Downtown River District. Housed in a beautiful brick building dating back to 1894, our story began in 1909 as Strunk’s Saloon & Pool Parlor. Today, you’ll still find the original bar, tin ceiling, and walls—a nod to the past that gives our space its timeless character.

We’re known for classic American comfort food, small-town hospitality, and a loyal crowd of regulars who feel more like family. Join us for our famous BBQ Ribs Wednesday through Sunday (while they last!) or our Prime Rib, served seven nights a week. Our Children’s Menu makes it a treat for the whole family.
